Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to operate various types of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment on construction sites, performing tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and other machinery used in construction and earthmoving activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and plans to determine the best approach to job tasks.
• Excavate, grade, and level land for construction projects.
• Load and transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and gravel.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
• Communicate effectively with other team members, including site supervisors and project managers.
• Report equipment malfunctions or issues to maintenance staff promptly.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of construction and excavation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, and construction plans.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred.
• Certification or training from a recognized heavy equipment training program is a plus.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or coursework in heavy equipment operation or a related field is preferred.
